About NBTF
NBTF is a group of friends who came together in October 2015 to form a band and compete in the 2016 Loudoun Youthfest Battle of the Bands. With only a few months of practice and playing together as a group, NBTF took 2nd place in the Battle of the Bands that year.
This group of friends, with a common passion for music and “chasing the sound”, later won 1st place in the 2017 Loudoun Youthfest Battle fo the Bands, and became the headliner at all 2018 battles. Best of all, the group has been able to spread their creative wings in writing their own music and experimenting with adding things like electric cello and baritone sax into their performances.

Allan Fogelson
Drummer / Electric Cello
An extremely versatile and talented musician, Allan not only plays drums for NBTF, but is also accomplished concert cellist and guitar player, among the many instruments he plays.
Nick Beer
Lead Guitar
Nick’s passion and creativity shine through his playing as he makes his guitar sing. Nick can also be found sitting in on drums, and hitting the mic for some vocals as well, showing off his versatility.
Derek Johnson
Bass Guitar / Vocals
While primarily laying down the rhythm for all the songs performed by NBTF, Derek is also an accomplished songwriter for the group, and has taken to the mic as both backing and lead vocals.
Zach Jones
Vocals / Guitar
As a singer, songwriter and guitarist, Zach’s influences come from artists such as Alter Bridge, Sound Garden, Metalica and several others. Zach’s passion for performing are very evident when you see NBTF take the stage.
